Our original epoxy installer was non-responsive when I reached out for repair issues. I decided to contact Innovative Garages in Avon for an epoxy flooring application, but additionally I became curious about the possibility of a garage makeover after I saw some photos of their garage makeovers. Our garage is 35 years old and looked every bit of it with well worn walls (marks, holes, etc.), an ugly workbench, unused building materials, and plenty of other clutter and eyesores. To be honest it felt like it was too big of a hurdle for a garage makeover given our budget. Joey, one of the installers, came out and he described quite well the epoxy technology he felt would best suit our garage floor. It would definitely be an improvement of what we had. We then talked about cabinets and slatwalls. Installing them would take our garage to the next level. He recommended purchasing a second storage rack in addition to the one we already had. (We ended up buying it online and it ended up being a perfect addition.) We talked about specific storage problems and Joey had wonderful suggestions. But then with a twinkle in his eye, he mentioned that he could come out before the work started and remove the old workbench/cabinets, remove and haul away old building material, repair and paint, and add trim. This was the game changer for us. I started envisioning the possibility of our garage disaster area transforming into a fantastic garage with Joey’s help. I asked for an estimate and we were given nice discounts on the cabinets and slat board. Joey’s personal handyman work quote was most reasonable. We stopped by the showroom and met Lisa who showed us various epoxy options and made the selection much easier. She told us that we could take the slat board accessories (hooks, baskets, etc.) and try them to see what worked and what we needed and we could return the items that we didn’t want. This all seemed almost too good to be true. Joey started his work and the transformation began. After seeing how much he accomplished each evening and the quality of his work along with his skills, I felt our impossible challenge was going to exceed what we originally hoped. Cody and Jake came out and put down the epoxy flooring and coating. They were quite friendly and informative. They were able to get epoxy down in the nook and crannies I didn’t think was possible. The floor looked great. Then Joey came out with Jason and installed the cabinets. They, too, did a superb job installing the cabinets and verifying with us that it was positioned correctly and met our desires. My wife and I were amazed at the storage space we now had via the cabinets. I felt that additional slat boards might be useful and Joey suggested moving the slat boards higher to allow for additional slat boards. He and Jason installed the slatwall panels at a very professional level. Then Joey came back and started painting. At that time we started asking if we could have additional slat boards installed in various locations and in smaller spaces. Joey accommodated all of our requests. We ended up adding six additional slat board areas which Joey skillfully installed. It was a good feeling seeing our original vision being improved with these additions giving ideal storage solutions. It is so nice to not have to walk around clutter and wonder where we can store some new item. Thanks to Innovative Garages and especially Joey our eyesore is now a showplace. I can’t imagine any other business giving us this complete, quality solution at this price. We were lucky to have found Innovative Garages. The owner Jeff and all of his employees that we encountered were so very accommodating in giving us our dream garage.
